HOW TO BECOME A BATCHMATE
It seems few of you getting trouble in joining this new blog . This is a bit different when compared to blogspot, but at the same times very efficient once you joined here. To make it easy I will explain you briefly how it does work here in wordpress.
The first thing you need to have is an active wordpress user account. It is nothing to do with the invitation I sent to you through email. All you have to do is open wordpress and signup there. While doing that some times you may be asked to choose a different user name , but don’t worry about that you can choose any diplay name later once you become a wordpress user. The other thing is the blog option at the end of the registration page. you can either opt for a blog with your user name ( which will be useful in future , all you gain is a blog nothing more , If you don’t want to write, you don’t need it ) or you can opt for only user account. Any of them will do the required. once you are done with this , they will send you an activation mail to your email. You just have to update your account by clicking the link in the email. Thats it, now you are a wordpress user. Keep in mind all this stuff is no way related to our blog.
Now you can ask permissions to write in our blog from your wordpress account or you can send me your email ID which you used while creating the wordpress account. I will do the rest of the job for you. After that you can see our blog in your wordpress dashboard whenever you login there in addition to your own blog ( if you opt it while registation)… I suppose this is all I need to tell you to join here.. Start the registration and post your questions here as comments. I’ll try to answer them or somebody who knows the answer may reply.
HOW TO WRITE A POST
1.open wordpress.com and sign in with your account details
2.Then you will see the list of the blogs under your user name in the first sidebar.
3.click on what ever blog you want to write in ( here it is hcualumni04phmp )
4.now you will be prompted to a new window with two top bars. One for your account details, global dashboard, my dash board etc. and the other is a tab bar which displayes all your blogs under the same user name. So you can swap between the two blogs here.
5.Now you will see another toolbar with ‘WRITE,DESIGN,MANAGE..etc’ options. Click on WRITE tab and you will see then the posting page… Simply write there and save the post using the SAVE button on the right side of the screen.
6. You can do also scheduled post etc… just by selecting the required options from the drop down menu there..
